Re: lv2vst w/ radium?

From the readme of lv2vst it says that it loads all lv2 plugins when the plugin instantiates. I guess you an lv2 plugin that doesn't work with the lv2vst wrapper. Have you tried using "whitelist" to load only one plugin?

Re: lv2vst w/ radium?

If you use Ardour, you can check under "Type" in the plugin manager whether it's a VST or LV2 plugin.
I've compiled the lv2vst plugin now, and I guess it works, but I haven't been able to make it find any lv2 plugins yet.

Re: lv2vst w/ radium?

I haven't tried lv2vst, but Radium is using JUCE to host VST plugins, meaning that it's using a stable code base for hosting VST plugins. Same as Tracktion for instance. Have you tried using lv2vst with other VST hosts?

Yeah, I think you're right. When LPB=4, every 4th line is a quarter note, every 2nd line is an 8th note, and each line is a 16th note, and the FL swing operates on 16th notes according to https://www.synapticsound.com/fl-studio-swing/ .

Hi, it's possible that the examples are inverted. Maybe try instead to use the lower number for even 16th notes, and the bigger number for the odd 16th notes.

Or simply set every even 16th note to 99, and then you can edit the odd 16th notes until you find a fitting swing.

For instance this:

99
--
50
--
99
--
50
--
etc.

is a 98% swing.

And this:

99
--
75
--
99
--
75
--
etc.

is a 32% swing.

Re: Is there another way to enter swing, apart from the swing row in the tracker?

I found this example of the FL swing: https://www.synapticsound.com/fl-studio-swing/ This is a lot simpler than Radium, both in terms of simplicity, and what it can do. In Radium you have a lot more possibilities, but it's also more work to create/edit: http://users.notam02.no/~kjetism/radium/docume...

Re: Is there another way to enter swing, apart from the swing row in the tracker?

I've been thinking about adding a swing slider (edit: since radium's support for swing is very low-level), but I'm not sure if a slider would make the swing "more precise". I think you have to look at the documentation for the swing slider in FL, and find out what it really does. Then you can probab...

Re: Complete noob here - How do I load a sample in radium?

It's probably simplest to select "Show plugin manager" under the "(click me)" menu if you want to select a VST plugin for a track. You can also press F12 instead of clicking "(click me)".

Re: Complete noob here - How do I load a sample in radium?

To load a VST, select "New Audio instrument" instead of "New sample player". Now you should be able to select a "VST" sub menu, or select "Plugin Manager" at the top of the menu. You might want to add VST paths under Edit -> Preferences -> Plugins first. To rescan VST plugins, select Windows -> Show...
