Paste Range

Post by Carotino »

Hi.
I'm using version 6.5.78.
As far as I know, to copy and paste a range I first press LEFT_WIN + B to mark the start and the and of a range, for example a portion of a single track.
Then LEFT_WIN + C to copy it.
Then I try paste it with LEFT_WIN + V, but what it's being pasted it's not only the range I selected, but it's like the range has been extended over all the tracks, and so all the notes from all the tracks are being copied on every track.
I hope I have explained it properly:)
Is it me or it's a bug?

Thanks

That is not supposed to happen. I can't reproduce this behavior either. Can you make a point-by-point recipe what you do?

Does the range disappear when you press Left Win + C? (If not, it is not copied)

Hi.
I can't reproduce it again, I'm not sure about what happened, at this point.
Sorry for the noise and thanks for the prompt answer!

By the way, the only way to make a range disappear is to copy/cut it?

No problem. It could be that "copy range" didn't work for some reason, perhaps something strange going on with keyboard handling or keyboard focus, so that an old range was pasted instead.

You can cancel range instead. Left Win + z.
