I find this bizarre

So...I find this obscure thing that seems to have existed for a long time, check there are practically no forum posts, wonder about pricing considering there's a demo version (I can't tell what sort of product it is), am baffled by why a subscription is necessary for the demo, can't buy it, don't know where a "full" version is to test, etc. Oh, and when I signed up for the forum, non-sensical questions. No wonder noone uses/knows it.
Explain.

indeed it's weird ,for buying you could paid 20euros for a year o r2/ monthly subscription (its not expansive or more if you have the money)
but most that weird it is sad because kjetil investing time in a software making that is not recognize
or people who use it don't talk about it?perhaps

Are you talking about the suggestion to subscribe to the newsletter for trying out the demo? I think that's quite common, and not an unreasonable request. You are not getting spammed a lot (maybe two emails per year), and it's easy to unsubsribe. And also, you don't actually have to subscibe to download the demo. On the page where you are asked to subscribe, there is also a link to downloading the demo without having to subscribe:
https://users.notam02.no/~kjetism/radiu ... ribing.php
(The link for downloading without subscribing is smaller than the link for downloading with subscribing, but I think this is a common way to do it as well.). I don't agree that this is bizarre.
The "non-sensical questions" are there to prevent bots from spamming down the forum. I've had lots of problems with spam on the forum. This is extremely common.
